Nuage has partnered with a renowned consultancy that specialises in delivering transformative data solutions for their clients. As they continue to expand, they are seeking 2 talented Senior/Lead Data Engineers with deep expertise in Databricks to lead large-scale migrations and implementations. If you thrive on solving complex data challenges and want to make a significant impact across multiple industries, this opportunity is perfect for you. These roles will be 2/3 days on-site with their client based in Sydney.

The Role

Lead end-to-end Databricks migrations and implementations
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks and cloud technologies.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into robust, data-driven solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of Databricks solutions with existing systems, leveraging tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of the consultancy’s best practices.

Responsibilities

Partner with clients to define project goals and architect scalable, high-performance Databricks solutions.
Lead the development and migration of data pipelines, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security.
Monitor and optimize data workflows to deliver top-tier performance and alignment with business objectives.
Stay ahead of industry trends and implement state-of-the-art methodologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Databricks within the consultancy, offering guidance and training to team members.

Skillset & Experience

Proven expertise in Databricks, with significant experience in migrations or implementations.
Strong coding skills in Python for data engineering tasks.
Familiarity with Azure (Azure Data Factory, Databricks on Azure)
Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data lake/storage solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex client environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
